Attitude of Indian Politicians and Economic Growth in India
Development of an economy depends up on its policy formulation and its implementation. Formulation of policy is depending on representatives of the people of the country and its implementation depends on administrative system of the country, which is largely influenced by political representatives. It means whole economic development absolutely revolving around politicians. If politicians of a country are more efficient, energetic, committed and charged with patriotism then that economy can develop a lot. Like any develop economy all politicians are ready to work for the development of the country. The economic system and political system are linked in such a way that one cant go without other. All political goals and ambition of politicians pass through the economic development, thus they are bound to work for the development of country. All representatives have accountability in the economy as a result it works as a safe guard against corruption, manipulation, misuse of power etc.
India is a developing economy, so it needs utmost care while formulating policy and to implementing policy. The success of every project depends on an effective political system and well designed economic system. But unfortunately our political system is neither effective nor well designed. Due to lack of political willingness our economy has not achieved its goal after 6o years of planning.
Our political system allows too much freedom to our representative and political leaders for which they dare to do any type of manipulation in the name of politics.
Most of our political leaders and political parties are opportunist in nature for which their works lack of commitment.
All most all political leaders are more loyal to their leaders and party rather than country.
No political leaders have courage to accept the blunder which is made by his/her party.
Here another important drawback of Indian politician is excess ego problems. Every leaders thinks about his/her ego, reputation, self interest rather than nations.
No party is ready to accept the ideal proposals of oppositions or no opposition is ready to find the positivity of goverment action. It is very painful for every country. Every develop nation shows respect their opposition leaders and cooperation between ruling party and opposition. Due to lack of proper coordination our economy can’t move in right direction of development.
No proposal given by any organization or individual which is in the interest of nation is highly appreciated by govt. Everyone wants to get millage from every issues so many times proper issues are neglected in the parliament or other representative houses. Many times we can witness wild behavior of representative inside and outside of house which gives wrong signal to administrative machinery to work properly.
As our political system and politicians are suffering from such type problems thus our economic system does not work properly.
Leaders from ruling party, opposition and administrative officers pretended them different from others and except high regards from public. They think that service to common people is not their duty rather some extra contribution to the society. It creates difference between people and leaders and increase corruption in the economy.
This attitude of Indian political leaders needs to be changed and their mind set need to be changed to achieve our economic objective.
